The Battle Over Trump's Taxes Could Extend Into 2020 Election

The U.S. Congress is making strong arguments to obtaining President Donald Trump’s tax returns.

The Democrats took control of the House in November 2018.

They have recently stepped up pressure on Trump to release tax records from 2013 to 2018.

Legal experts said the tax returns could shed light on the president’s business dealings.

The House Ways and Means committee has given the Internal Revenue Service until April 23 to produce the documents.
