House Dems to Vote on Resolution Supporting ACA

House Democrats  are about to vote on a resolution condemning the Trump administration's decision to end Obamacare.

The resolution calls on the Justice Department to reverse its recent decision to agree with a federal ruling in Texas that invalidated the ACA.

But it's worth noting the vote will be largely symbolic, as Democrats continue to move forward with their own goal of strengthening Obamacare.

The resolution, which was introduced by Rep.

Colin Allred on Friday, calls the Trump administration's decision to invalidate the ACA "an unacceptable assault on the health care of the American people." The president  reiterated  his feelings about Obamacare after the Justice Department's ruling earlier this week, saying on Twitter: "ObamaCare is a disaster, far too expensive and deductibility ridiculously high - virtually unusable!

Moving forward in Courts and Legislatively!" In the  aftermath  of the DOJ's decision, the Trump administration said it will unveil a replacement health care plan to Congress sometime this year.
