Trump's National Emergency Failed To Be Deterred

President Donald Trump declared a national emergency in order to fund upgrades in the U.S.-Mexico border.

A resolution was then presented to Congress to deny and terminate the national emergency.

Yet the House of Representatives failed to get enough votes to override Trump’s veto.

Two-thirds majority would be required from the House and Senate to override the veto.

According to Business Insider, this means that as of now, the national emergency can continue.
