First All-Female Spacewalk Cancelled Because Of Suit Issues

Four days before the first-ever all-female spacewalk was scheduled, NASA announced a change in astronaut assignments.

The trailblazing team of Anne McClain and Christina Koch—revealed early this month to social media fanfare—was split up due to equipment availability on the International Space Station.

McClain joined NASA astronaut Nick Hague for the first spacewalk in this series on March 22.

But she won’t be part of the second.
