According to a report by Digital Trends, NASA's mission to collect a sample from asteroid Bennu and return it to Earth will provide valuable information about the early solar system, but has already begun to reveal some unexpected findings.

The strangest discovery is plumes of particles which are energetically ejected from the surface of Bennu.
