GOP Sen. Rand Paul Said He'd Vote To Block Trump's National Emergency

Business Insider reports Kentucky Sen.

Rand Paul said he would vote in favor of blocking President Donald Trump's national emergency declaration.

In a speech to nearly 200 Republicans on Saturday the senator said he objected to allowing Trump to exercise "extra-Constitutional powers." Last month, Trump declared a national emergency to secure funds to build a wall along the US-Mexico border.

Paul said, "We may want more money for border security, but Congress didn't authorize it.
