Battle Lines Being Drawn Over Trump's Declaration

Business Insider reports the House and Senate voted to pass legislation that would fund the US government for the remainder of the 2019 fiscal year.

The legislation doesn't contain the full $5.7 billion desired by President Donald Trump for a wall along the US-Mexico border.

It contains $1.375 billion for a border barrier.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that Trump was planning to declare a national emergency to get remaining funds for the wall.

Some Republican senators are not on board.

John Cornyn of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida are just two senators who do not support an emergency declaration.
