France Passes Law Banning Smartphones From Schools

France has passed a law banning all smartphones and internet-connected devices from school.

Starting in September these devices will have to be left at home or switched off at school.

According to CNN, this law will apply to schoolchildren between ages 3 and 15.

Schools with students ages 15 and up can choose whether to adopt the ban or not.

Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanque said: โ€œ Our main role is to protect children and adolescents.โ€
