Chemical Weapons Investigators Finally Allowed To Enter Site Of Attack In Syrian Town

Wochit - Tuesday, 17 April 2018

According to a report by Reuters, global chemical weapons inspectors were finally allowed into the Syrian town where a suspected poison gas attack took place, days after the United States, Britain and France launched a retaliatory attack.

Syrian state television reported that investigators from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons had entered Douma, where scores of civilians sheltering from bombs were allegedly gassed to death on April 7.

France has reportedly claimed that it was very likely evidence of the poison gas attack would disappear before the inspectors could reach the site.

Syria, along with its ally Russia, have denied that any chemical attack took place.
