Trump Wants To Create Arab Army, Pull US Troops Out Of Syria
The Trump administration reportedly wants to create an Arab army to replace US troops in Syria. US officials said the Arab army will help stabilize Syria once Islamic State militants are defeated. Officials say "Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE have all been approached with respect to financial support." The US wants to prevent Assad and his allies from establishing control in newly liberated areas. The US announced in February that it had pledged $200 million to stabilize the region. "We have asked our partners to take greater responsibility for securing their home region, including contributing larger amounts of money." President Donald Trump.
