FBI Responsibility Office Recommends Firing Andrew McCabe

Wochit - Wednesday, 14 March 2018

According to officials with the FBI, the bureau's Office of Professional Responsibility has recommended the firing of Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

The recommendation is now before Attorney General Jeff Sessions, but McCabe is set to retire from the bureau this weekend.

Were Sessions to fire him, his federal pension would be at risk.

The recommendation follows an internal report from the Justice Department's inspector general, that determined McCabe was not fully forthcoming while answers questions about the FBI's investigation of the Clinton Foundation.
