South Korea urges North Korea summit before Trump Seoul visit, U.S. door 'wide open'

South Korea on Wednesday urged North Korea to hold another summit with its leader ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to Seoul next week, while the United States said its door remained "wide open" for talks with Pyongyang.

Chinese President Xi Jinping to make first official visit to North Korea
CNN reports Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in North Korea on Thursday for a two-day state visit, his first official trip to the country since he came to power in 2012. Xi is making the trip "at the invitation" of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. North Korean state media also confirmed the visit.
