Delhi HC refuses to stay dismissal of officer Satish Chandra Verma who probed Ishrat case

The Delhi high court on Monday refused to stay the Centre's order dismissing senior IPS officer Satish Chandra Verma a month before his scheduled retirement. Verma had assisted the CBI in its probe of the 2004 Ishrat Jahan encounter case between April 2010 and October 2011.
