Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases, over one lakh students of classes 10 and 12 have signed petitions urging the government to either cancel board exams. All urban areas of Madhya Pradesh will go into a lockdown from 6 pm tomorrow to 6 am on Monday in a move to control the steep surge in coronavirus cases in the state. India recorded 1,26,789 fresh Covid cases, setting another grim one-day record as the county battles the second wave of infections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi received his second dose of the Covid vaccine today at Delhi's AIIMS - 37 days after his first shot - and urged all those eligible to get inoculated against the deadly virus.
