Army will maintain combat readiness on fronts with China and Pakistan despite budgetary cuts due to Covid: Gen Naravane

The 12-lakh strong Army will ensure its operational efficiency and combat readiness is not affected on the western and eastern fronts due to the fund crunch in wake of the coronavirus pandemic severely hitting government’s finances, said Army chief General M M Naravane on Friday.

Chief of Indian Army, General MM Naravane, on May 13 reacted on Pakistan calling terrorist organisations Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) 'The Resistance Front'. He said he rather call it "Terror Revival Front" and it's another terrorist organisation by another name. "I would rather call it Terror Revival Front. It's another terrorist organisation by another name. This is a terrorist organisation supported by proxies across the border. They'll be dealt with appropriately."
