Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attend the Ukraine peace talks in Turkey, despite proposing them himself. The Kremlin has instead assigned presidential adviser Vladimir Medinsky to lead the delegation. President Trump is also skipping the summit, lowering hopes for any major breakthrough. While Ukraine’s Zelenskyy had demanded Putin’s presence, he is reportedly en route to Turkey. The US has sent Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other key envoys.
