Disney+ Warns of Content With 'Outdated Cultural Depictions'. Disney+ launched Tuesday, opening their vault of legendary films, not all of which hold up today. The company created a disclaimer that reads, โThis program is presented as originally created. It may contain outdated cultural depictions.โ. Films such as โDumbo,โ โPeter Pan,โ โThe Jungle Bookโ and a number of Mickey Mouse shorts contain the message. The animated 'Dumbo' film is one example for the necessity of the warning, with culturally-insensitive characters like Jim Crow. Though not all of the content contains offensive material, Disney was sure to slap the warning on several titles as a precaution
