Disney's much-anticipated streaming service has tacked warnings onto some movies indicating that they might include racist or otherwise offensive elements.

Disney+ Warns of Content With 'Outdated Cultural Depictions'. Disney+ launched Tuesday, opening their vault of legendary films, not all of which hold up today. The company created a disclaimer that reads, โ€œThis program is presented as originally created. It may contain outdated cultural depictions.โ€. Films such as โ€˜Dumbo,โ€™ โ€˜Peter Pan,โ€™ โ€˜The Jungle Bookโ€™ and a number of Mickey Mouse shorts contain the message. The animated 'Dumbo' film is one example for the necessity of the warning, with culturally-insensitive characters like Jim Crow. Though not all of the content contains offensive material, Disney was sure to slap the warning on several titles as a precaution
