Jamie Vardy could be about to write his own Hollywood story with Wrexham.

The striker, who climbed from Non-League football to Premier League glory and an FA Cup title with Leicester City, is now 37-years-old and there are questions over his future at the King Power Stadium with his contract set to expire in June.

However, retirement isn't on the cards for the member of the Premier League 100 Club, reports the Mirror. Vardy confirmed: "Listen, I'm not ready to hang the boots up yet. The legs feel fine and I feel as fit as I ever have so we'll just see what happens."

Vardy's reputation guarantees him a host of opportunities in either the Premier League or Championship clubs, though Wrexham, co-owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and playing in League One, could be an attractive prospect.

The Red Dragons have made waves recently by attracting Football League stars like Paul Mullin and Elliot Lee to their project while still operating in the National League. James McClean, a former Premier League player, is also currently on their books.

Wrexham's director Humphrey Ker hasn't ruled out trying to lure Jamie Vardy to the club, as they aim for a fairy-tale rise to the Championship and beyond. Ker told SPORTbible: "There's nothing to say that Jamie Vardy wouldn't be a great Wrexham player. It's not a name I've had mentioned inside the building before but, you know, age and profile wouldn't put us off."

But signing Vardy might be easier said than done, particularly since Foxes' boss Enzo Maresca is dead set on keeping him around. "Jamie Vardy is Leicester. Jamie Vardy has always scored goals in his life and he's going to score goals even when he's 40, 45," the Italian said. "It's in his blood to score goals. We are very lucky that he's our player.

"Now we finish (the season), we have a game Saturday, and then we sit. But my feeling is that he's going to stay this is my feeling, if I can decide."
