Mikel Arteta will not be drawn on Arsenal's transfer plans right now. His focus is solely on the end of the season.
"Enjoy it and then it's back to work tomorrow," he said after Tuesday's 5-0 win over Chelsea. "Because we have a big one on Sunday and we're going to have to prepare really well to beat them."
With the title race so finely poised you can hardly blame him. Arsenal are still relying on a favour from Manchester City, but with four games to go they look well placed to take this fight down to the last day at the very least.
In the background though, the Gunners' summer plans are already afoot. They are expecting to be in the market for a goalkeeper and a midfielder at the very least and possibly another defender.
The most important area that needs strengthening though is the forward positions. Club decision makers are extremely happy with what Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus have done since coming to the club. Despite that though, there is an understanding that a more clinical forward presence is required to make Arsenal a side capable of challenging both in the Champions League and Premier League.

Several players have been linked when it comes to this. Ivan Toney is certainly one of them. He's a player that Arsenal have looked at, but it is likely that the Gunners will be targeting a different profile of forward this summer.
Toney is an out and out striker who recently turned 28. Arsenal are instead looking for a more versatile forward who is at the younger end of the age spectrum. With Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus 27 and 29-years-old respectively, the Gunners want some young blood who can be an option for years to come up front.
This need is only amplified by the fact that Eddie Nketiah is likely to move on this summer. The Hale Ender will be 25 at the end of the season, and is seemingly no longer trusted by Arteta after failing to start a match in any competition since New Year's Eve.
Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres is a player of interest. The Swede can play across the front line and is 25-years-old. After an impressive season for Sporting though, he is likely to be one of the more expensive players on the market this summer.
Alexander Isak is also a player the Gunners have scouted in the past. The 24-year-old would fit perfectly into the Gunners squad make up. It's unlikely that Newcastle will want to sell as things stand though.
