'He is strong', says Saurabh Bharadwaj after meeting Kejriwal in Tihar

NEW DELHI: Delhi cabinet minister Saurabh Bharadwaj had a 30-minute meeting with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail on Wednesday, assuring the public that there is no need to worry about him. Bharadwaj mentioned that he met Kejriwal in the 'mulakat jangla' and also spoke with him over the phone.
"I had a half-an-hour meeting in the 'mulakat jangla'.He said that people should not worry about him. He said he is strong and he will continue his fight with the blessings of the people of Delhi," the Delhi minister informed reporters following the meeting.
The 'mulakat jangla' is an iron mesh that divides the inmate from the visitor in a room within the jail. It allows a visitor and an inmate to converse with each other while seated on opposite sides of the mesh.
The Delhi chief minister, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case on March 21, has not resigned. The Aam Aadmi Party has affirmed that he will continue to govern from jail.
Earlier, Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP's national general secretary (organisation) Sandeep Pathak visited Kejriwal in Tihar Jail on April 15.
After the meeting, Pathak informed reporters that Kejriwal plans to meet with two ministers each week to review the progress of work within their respective departments.
After his arrest, Kejriwal communicated with his ministers, directing them to address concerns such as water supply and the availability of medicines in government hospitals. He also instructed party MLAs to visit their constituencies and provide assistance to the residents.
