Lok Sabha elections: 'Entire country forced to live in despair and terror,' says Gopal Rai in Kurukshetra

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Delhi government’s cabinet minister Gopal Rai campaigned for party’s Kurukshetra Lok Sabha candidate Sushil Gupta under the banner of INDIA bloc on Tuesday. In Pehowa’s Jhansa town of Kurukshetra district, AAP organised Sankalp Jansabha election campaign with a slogan ‘zulam ka jawab vote se (answer to atrocity with vote)'.
“The way voting percentage has decreased in the first phase of Lok Sabha election, it is evidence that in the last 10 years the Modi government has given dissappointment to the people and spread fear. During this election, the whole country is living in despair and terror. PM Modi's ongoing campaign is just a trailer. Today, the way INDIA bloc is contesting elections across the country and the support it is getting from the people at the grassroots level, frustration is visible on the face of PM Modi and in his speech also," said Gopal Rai.
“Ten years ago, PM Modi promised good days to the youth in the country, while he promised to provide 2 crore jobs. But statistics show that 83% of the country's youth are unemployed and Haryana has the highest unemployment rate in the entire country. Despite the BJP government in the state and Centre for the last 10 years, the plight of Haryana's youth has become such that the CM of Haryana openly says that if you want employment, then go to Israel,” claimed Gopal Rai.
“Promising to double the income of farmers, BJP tried to impose three black agricultural laws, but farmers forced them to repeal the same. PM Modi promised MSP, but he did not say a single word on MSP in Parliament. When farmers again tried to march to Delhi, they were stopped,” also said Rai.
Hitting at BJP's Kurukshetra candidate, Rai said, “Naveen Jindal whom Prime Minister Modi called a coal thief, today he has become his Kohinoor. Many such incidents have happened in the country, Ajit Pawar, accused of Rs 70 thousand crore scam, has joined BJP and become the Chief Minister. Ashok Chavan became Rajya Sabha MP and Hemanta Biswa Sarma became the Chief Minister.”
Rai said, “This fight is not just to save an MP and the government, but to save the country and the Constitution. This is the first time that BJP did not find any candidate to contest elections from Kurukshetra. Therefore, by showing the fear of ED and CBI, Naveen Jindal has been fielded in the election. The INDIA alliance is getting full support from every section. The people of Kurukshetra will give a message to the entire country by making Sushil Gupta win with a huge vote.”
