Tinder gets Share My Date: It’s not uncommon for anyone going on a date to share all the details with their closest friends and family members. Now, Tinder has launched a new feature that not only lets users share all the excitement surrounding an upcoming date with their friends and family but also acts a useful safety tool. The company today announced ‘Share Your Date’ feature that lets users share their date plans directly with friends and loved ones from the app.

According to the details shared by the company, Tinder’s ‘Share My Date’ feature is designed for friends, parents, and peers alike as it gives them access to a single link where they can check all the details related to the upcoming date of their love one.  Users can share information such as their location or venue for the date, date of the date, time of meeting, a photo of their match and their Tinder profile directly from the app.

In addition to this, Tinder has confirmed that users can create unlimited number of dates within the app up to 30 days in advance. Furthermore, the company says that date plans are editable. So, if a user’s plan changes at the last minute, they can simply update the info in the app, which will then be automatically updated with the friends and family members with whom they have shared their date plan.

Who can access Tinder’s Share My Date feature?

Tinder has confirmed that it has started rolling out its newly announced ‘Share My Date’ feature to users across India, the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Japan, Brazil, Switzerland, Mexico, Netherlands, Italy, Korea, Vietnam and Thailand. All its users in the mentioned countries will get this feature in the coming months.

How to use Tinder’s Share My Date feature?

Here is a step-by-step guide for all Tinder users:

Step 1: Open Google Play Store or Apple Store on your smartphone and download the latest version of Tinder on your phone.

Step 2: Open the chat with your Tinder Match within the app.

Step 3: Once you have set a date, time and place for meeting, tap the three dots in the top right corner of the app.

Step 4: Tap the Share My Date option.

Step 5: Now add all details, which includes the name of your date, date, time, place, along with additional details that you would like to mention. You can also add your match’s Tinder profile in the details.

Step 6: Tap the Done button.

From here you can share your date plan with all your close friends and family members.
