Phil Taylor thinks Martin Adams would have raked in the millions if he joined the Professional Darts Corporation.
'The Power' was recently defeated by 'Wolfie' in the JenningsBet Champion of Champions on the World Seniors Darts Tour. Adams, 67, overcame the 16-time world champion in a Blackpool Barnstormer, edging his familiar foe 10-9.
Their clash was a major throwback for darts fans who remember their classic encounters in the BDO. Taylor, 63, was among the group of players to join the PDC, while Adams stayed loyal to the BDO.

Luke Littler darts fans can back 'The Nuke' in Premier League with his playing shirt
Luke Littler fans can now buy the 17-year-old's playing shirt to support him as he continues to demonstrate his talent in the Premier League.
The darts sensation was only 16 when he wowed Alexandra Palace at the World Darts Championship (WDC), despite a final loss to Luke Humphries.
The Nuke will continue playing against seven of the best dart players in the world — Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith, Nathan Aspinall, Rob Cross and Peter Wright — in a mini-tournament in a different city every Thursday until the final in May.
More than 30 years later, Taylor thinks Adams would have been one of the sport's top earners had he followed him in joining the breakaway.
Before their match, Taylor, 63, said: “I don’t think there were too many TV games between us. I played him a few times when I was in the BDO. He’s a player I thought: ‘You should have come over’.
“I know he was England captain, he was proud to be that. He sticks by what he believes in. But when I look at Martin now, I think: ‘You could have been a multi, multi-millionaire’.

“He might be one, I don’t know, but he had the talent to get up there and be in the top three in the world. Could he have made a splash on the PDC? I don’t think he would – I know he would have done.
“It would have improved Martin and his game. He was a good practiser. If you look at his style, I think he has probably one of the nicest styles in darts. He’s a good finisher, a good scorer. Very good under pressure.
“I don’t know how his mind works now, he has had a few health and personal problems in his life, which have affected him a little bit. But as a player, 20-25 years ago, one of the best in the world.”
Adams' tournament ended in the following round after beating Taylor. The former England captain lost 13-11 to Richie Howson in the semi-finals.
