Exhuma’ is swiftly making its mark as a potential record-breaker in South Korean cinema. Just recently, on March 3, the Korean Film Council revealed that the movie had crossed a remarkable milestone, attracting a whopping total of 6,033,190 eager moviegoers. This impressive feat means that ‘Exhuma’ achieved the 5 million milestone just one day after surpassing 4 million viewers.

Since its release on February 22, this film has captivated audiences at an unprecedented pace, taking only 11 days to reach this achievement. Remarkably, it outpaced the record set by the biggest box office hit of 2022, ‘The Roundup’, by a full day, and surpassed the 2023 sensation, ‘12.12: The Day’, by an entire week.
To celebrate this extraordinary milestone, the stars of ‘Exhuma’, including Kim Go Eun, Choi Min Sik, and Yoo Hae Jin, expressed their heartfelt gratitude by posing for photographs adorned with handwritten thank-you messages. However, Lee Do Hyun was unable to join the celebration as he is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service.
‘Exhuma’ unfolds a gripping tale of occult mysteries, centered around two exorcists portrayed by Kim Go Eun and Lee Do Hyun, a mortician played by Yoo Hae Jin, and a feng shui master embodied by Choi Min Sik. Together, they decide to relocate mysterious graves in exchange for a handsome amount of money.
