“These devices will improve the expertise of police officers,” Mahesh Bhagwat added.
Traffic officials said that with the old devices, the test reading has to be keyed in on a tab and then a ticket is printed. But with these Bluetooth-enabled devices, the print can be issued from the device itself, saving time.
Bhagwat thanked Diageo and CSRBOX, an NGO for donating the breathalysers with hands-on training to the personnel.
