Ji Chang-wook considering lead role alongside Go Hyun-jung in upcoming thriller 'The Mantis'

Popular South Korean actor Ji Chang-wook is currently in discussions to play the lead role in the upcoming thriller drama, ‘The Mantis’ according to a report by Ten Asia on January 9. The series is set to bring an intriguing narrative to the screen, revolving around a woman with a dark past, imprisoned for being a serial killer, and the chaos that ensues when a copycat killer emerges, following her methods and initiating a new series of murders.What adds to the anticipation is the fact that ‘The Mantis’ is a Korean remake of the original French drama that premiered on OTT in December 2017.
Earlier, reports had already generated buzz with the announcement of actress Go Hyun-jung's involvement as the female lead in the Korean adaptation of ‘The Mantis’. The drama is a joint production between Merry Christmas and MegaMonster, and the production is scheduled to kick off earnestly later this year.
